Sir Ronald Compton Stewart, 2nd Bt. was born on 14 August 1903.1 He was the son of Sir Percy Malcolm Stewart, 1st Bt. and Cordelia Rickett.2 He married Cynthia Farmiloe, daughter of Harold Farmiloe, on 10 June 1936.1 He died on 26 January 1999 at age 95, without issue.1
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stewart, of Stewartby, co. Bedford [U.K., 1937] on 27 February 1951.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1954.1 He was chairman of London Brick between 1966 and 1979.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire in 1974.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.1

Sir Halley Stewart was born on 18 January 1838.1 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Stewart.2 He married Jane Elizabeth Atkinson, daughter of Joseph Atkinson, on 20 June 1865.1 He died on 26 January 1937 at age 99.1
He was a partner of Stewart Brothers and Spencer, Rochester.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Spalding between 1887 and 1895.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Greenock between 1906 and 1910.1 He endowed the Halley Stewart Laboratory at Hampstead.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1932.1 He lived at The Red House, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1
