Lt.-Gen. Humphrey Lyons was born on 8 July 1802 at St. Austins, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of John Lyons and Catharine Walrond.1 He married Eliza Bennett, daughter of Henry Bennett, on 1 November 1824.2 He died on 27 May 1873 at age 70.2
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Indian Army.1
