Emily Julia Charlotte Keane was born on 12 January 1848.1 She was the daughter of Edward Arthur Wellington Keane, 2nd Baron Keane and Louisa Caroline Lydia Benyon.1 She married Major Henry Arthur Herbert, son of Rt. Hon. Henry Arthur Herbert and Mary Balfour, on 20 October 1866.2 She and Major Henry Arthur Herbert were divorced in 1882.1 She married, secondly, Henry Hulton Vignoles in 1897.1 She died on 2 July 1911 at age 63.1
