     Lt.-Cdr. Roy Sydney Baker-Falkner was born on 3 June 1916 at Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England^G.² He was the son of Reginald Sydney Falkner and Grace S. Baker.² He married Naomi Fanny Lord in 1938 at Newton Abbot, Devon, England^G.³ He died on 18 July 1944 at age 28, killed in action.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Fleet Air Arm, Royal Navy.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) on 30 May 1944.^1,2
