     Ann Musgrave was born on 4 July 1675 at Washington, County Durham, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir Richard Musgrave, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy James.1 She was baptised on 1 October 1725 at Aspatria, Cumberland, England.2 She married Sir William Grierson of Lag, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 29 August 1720 at Carlisle, Northumberland, EnglandG.1,2 She died on 17 December 1749 at age 74 at Rockall, Collin, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.3,4
     From 29 August 1720, her married name became Grierson.1

     James Grierson was born circa 1679.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas.3 He married Elizabeth Ferguson.3 He was also reported to have died circa 20 March 1722.3 He died in April 1721.2
     In 1715 he was involved in the 1715 Uprising, and was imprisoned for "counterfeiting the coin and for forgeing stamps on paper."4

     Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1700.1 He was the son of James Grierson and Elizabeth Ferguson.2 He died in 1765, without issue.2
     He was also known as James.2 In 1760 he tried unsuccessfully to recover the family estates from his uncle Gilbert.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1760.2

     Sir Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 4th Bt. was baptised on 13 February 1698 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Douglas.1 He married Elizabeth Maitland, daughter of Richard Maitland and Elizabeth Bell, on 25 November 1737 at Dalkeith, ScotlandG.1,2 He died on 7 February 1766 at age 67 at Dalkeith, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1,3
     In 1715 he joined the Uprising, and was captured.1 He was Writer and Chamberlain to the Duke of Buccleuch between 1722 and 1765.1,2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] in 1765.1
