     Thomas Clinton, 3rd Earl of Lincoln was born circa 1568.¹ He was the son of Henry Clinton, 2nd Earl of Lincoln and Lady Catherine Hastings.² He married Elizabeth Knyvett, daughter of Sir Henry Knyvett and Elizabeth Stumpe, on 21 September 1584.¹ He died on 15 January 1618/19.¹
     He was also known as Thomas Fiennes.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1588 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Grimsby in 1601.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire between 1604 and 1610.¹ On 8 February 1609/10 he was called up to Parliament in his father's supposed Barony of Clinton de Saye.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 29 September 1616.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Lord Clinton [E., 1299] on 29 September 1616.¹
     He had eight other children.¹

     Sir Edward Clinton is the son of Henry Clinton, 2nd Earl of Lincoln and Lady Catherine Hastings.² He married Mary Dighton, daughter of Thomas Dighton.¹

     Mary Dighton is the daughter of Thomas Dighton.² She married Sir Edward Clinton, son of Henry Clinton, 2nd Earl of Lincoln and Lady Catherine Hastings.¹

     Francis Clinton is the son of Sir Edward Clinton and Mary Dighton.² He married Priscilla Hill, daughter of John Hill.¹

     Francis Clinton, 6th Earl of Lincoln was born circa 1635.² He was the son of Francis Clinton and Priscilla Hill.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Killigrew, daughter of Sir William Killigrew and Mary Hill.² He married, secondly, Susanna Penyston, daughter of Anthony Penyston, circa 1683.³ He died circa August 1693.² He was buried on 3 September 1693.²
     He was appointed Knight in 1661.² He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in 1669.² He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 25 November 1692.²

     Captain Hon. Thomas Charles Reginald Agar-Robartes was born on 22 May 1880 at 30 Upper Grosvenor Street, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Thomas Charles Reginald Agar-Robartes, 6th Viscount Clifden of Gowran and Mary Dickenson.¹ He died on 30 September 1915 at age 35 at Loos, France, killed by a sniper while rescuing a comrade, for which he was recommended for a Victoria Cross.^3,2
     He was educated between 1894 and 1899 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1899.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Cornwall, Bodmin Division between January 1906 and June 1906, unseated on a petition.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Cornwall, St. Austell Division in 1908.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.³ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.³
