     Mary Thompson was the daughter of Robert Thompson.¹ She married Sir Samuel Clarke, 1st Bt., son of John Clarke and Margaret Bourne.¹ She died between 3 August 1720 and 12 December 1720.¹ Her will (dated 3 August 1720) was proven (by probate) on 12 December 1720.¹
     Her married name became Clarke.¹

     Robert Thompson lived at Newington Green, England^G.¹

     Sir Robert Clarke, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Samuel Clarke, 1st Bt. and Mary Thompson.¹ He married Mary Barnardiston, daughter of Arthur Barnardiston and Mary Lloyd, before 1712.¹ He died in November 1746.¹
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 23 June 1701.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cambridgeshire between April 1717 and 1722.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Clarke, of Snailwell, co. Cambridge [E., 1698] on 8 March 1719.¹

     Mary Barnardiston was the daughter of Arthur Barnardiston and Mary Lloyd.¹ She married Sir Robert Clarke, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Samuel Clarke, 1st Bt. and Mary Thompson, before 1712.¹ She died in January 1732/33.¹
     From before 1712, her married name became Clarke.¹

     Arthur Barnardiston is the son of Sir Nathaniel Barnardiston and Jane Soame.²
     He lived at Hoxton, London, England^G.¹

     Mary Lloyd is the daughter of Sir Richard Lloyd.¹

     Sir Richard Lloyd lived at Hallon, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Samuel Clarke, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 May 1712.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Mary Barnardiston.¹ He died on 10 November 1758 at age 46, unmarried.¹
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 8 March 1726/27.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Clarke, of Snailwell, co. Cambridge [E., 1698] in November 1746.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Cambridgeshire from 1753 to 1754.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Huntingdonshire from 1753 to 1754.¹

     Sir Robert Clarke, 4th Bt. was born on 22 January 1714.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Mary Barnardiston.¹ He married Elizabeth Littel before 1763.¹ He died on 18 August 1770 at age 56.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in November 1770.¹
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 17 April 1731.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Clarke, of Snailwell, co. Cambridge [E., 1698] on 10 November 1758.¹

     Elizabeth Littel married Sir Robert Clarke, 4th Bt., son of Sir Robert Clarke, 2nd Bt. and Mary Barnardiston, before 1763.¹
     From before 1763, her married name became Clarke.¹ She was living on 17 November 1787.¹
