Elspeth King Clark was the daughter of Alexander King Clark and Katherine Margaret Elizabeth Mainwaring Knocker.2 She married Lt.-Col. Sir John William Spencer Maclure, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Edward Stanley Maclure, 2nd Bt. and Ruth Ina Muriel McHardy, on 29 April 1929.1 She died on 6 March 1991.2

Lt.-Col. Sir John William Spencer Maclure, 3rd Bt. was born on 4 February 1899.2 He was the son of Sir John Edward Stanley Maclure, 2nd Bt. and Ruth Ina Muriel McHardy.2 He married Elspeth King Clark, daughter of Alexander King Clark and Katherine Margaret Elizabeth Mainwaring Knocker, on 29 April 1929.1 He died on 1 March 1980 at age 81.2
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Maclure, of The Home, Whalley Range, near Manchester, co. Palatine of Lancaster [U.K., 1898] on 16 November 1938.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1947.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.2 He was commander of the 41 Garrison Hook of Holland between 1947 and 1949.2
