     Lady Margaret Hay was the daughter of George Hay, 1st Earl of Kinnoull and Margaret Halyburton.1,2 She married Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Lord Spynie, son of Alexander Lindsay, 1st Lord Spynie and Jean Lyon.1
     Her married name became Lindsay.1

George Hay, 1st Earl of Kinnoull

     George Hay, 1st Earl of Kinnoull was baptised on 4 December 1570.1 He was the son of Peter Hay, 4th of Megginch and Margaret Ogilvy.1 He married Margaret Halyburton, daughter of Sir James Halyburton of Pitcur, before 15 November 1595.3 He died on 16 December 1634 at age 64.1
     He was educated at Scots College, Pont-à-Moussin, Lorraine, FranceG.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Bedchamber to King James VI of Scotland in 1596.1 In February 1597/98 he was granted the former Carthusian priory at Perth with a Lordship, but he had insufficient wealth for the upkeep, and had the grant annulled.1 He was appointed Knight before 1609.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in 1612.1 He held the office of a Lord of Session in 1616.1 He held the office of Lord Clerk Register between 1616 and 1622.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1622.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor [Scotland] between 1622 and 1634.1 He was created 1st Viscount of Dupplin [Scotland] on 4 May 1627.1 He was created 1st Lord Hay of Kinfauns [Scotland] on 4 May 1627.1 He was created 1st Earl of Kinnoull [Scotland] on 25 May 1633, with a special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.1 He was created 1st Viscount of Dupplin [Scotland] on 25 May 1633, with a special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.1 He was created 1st Lord Hay of Kinfauns [Scotland] on 25 May 1633, with a special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.1

     Alexander Lindsay, Master of Spynie was the son of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Lord Spynie and Lady Margaret Hay.1 He married Lady Jean Carnegie, daughter of John Carnegie, 1st Earl of Northesk and Magdalen Halyburton.1 He died after 29 June 1643, without issue.1
     He was styled as Master of Spynie.

     Lady Jean Carnegie was the daughter of John Carnegie, 1st Earl of Northesk and Magdalen Halyburton.2,1 She married, firstly, Alexander Lindsay, Master of Spynie, son of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Lord Spynie and Lady Margaret Hay.1 She married by contract, secondly, John Lindsay, 6th of Edzell, son of Alexander Lindsay, 1st of Canterland and Jean Murray, on 9 August 1647.1 She died before 23 March 1659.3
     From 9 August 1647, her married name became Lindsay.1

     John Carnegie, 1st Earl of Northesk was born circa 1569.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. David Carnegie of Kinnaird and Eupheme Wemyss.1 He married, firstly, Magdalen Halyburton, daughter of James Halyburton of Thorngreen and Margaret Scrymgeour.2 He married, secondly, Margery Maule, daughter of Andrew Maule of Guildie, on 29 April 1652.2 He died on 8 January 1667.2
     On 1 March 1595/96 his father made over Aithie, Cuickstoun, Forfarshire to him by Royal Charter.2 He was appointed Knight in 1610.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Forfarshire in 1620.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Forfarshire in 1634.2 He was created 1st Lord Rosehill and Eglismauldie [Scotland] on 20 April 1639.2 He was created 1st Earl of Northesk [Scotland] on 1 November 1647.2 On 25 October 1666 He exchanged the names of his titles - Earl of Ethie, Lord Lour and Eglismaldie became Earl of Northesk and Lord Lour became Lord Rosehill and Eglismaldie.2

George Lindsay, 3rd Lord Spynie

     George Lindsay, 3rd Lord Spynie was the son of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Lord Spynie and Lady Margaret Hay. He died circa January 1670/71, without male issue.1 He was buried on 21 January 1670/71.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Spynie [S., 1590].2 He raised forces for King Charles I, at a ruinous cost to himself.2 He held the position of Chief of the Name and Arms of Lindsay from in 1652.1

     Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Lord Spynie and Lady Margaret Hay.1
     In 1785 her descendant, Lt.-Col. William Fullarton of Glenquich, unsuccessfully claimed the Lordship of Spynie.1

F/Lt. Hon. Brindsley Sheridan Bushe Plunket1

     F/Lt. Hon. Brindsley Sheridan Bushe Plunket was born on 28 June 1903.2 He was the son of William Lee Plunket, 5th Baron Plunket of Newton and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood.2 He married Aileen Sibell Mary Guinness, daughter of Hon. Arthur Ernest Guinness and Marie Clothilde Russell, on 16 November 1927.2 He and Aileen Sibell Mary Guinness were divorced in 1940.2 He died in November 1941 at age 38, while on active service.2
     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.2

     Sir John Lindsay of Kinfauns was the son of Henry Lindsay, 13th Earl of Crawford and Helen Chisholm.1 He married Hon. Jean Abernethy, daughter of George Abernethy, 7th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Margaret Stewart, circa 8 December 1608.1 He died in 1615.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1603.1
