Lt.-Col. Richard Zachariah Mudge was born in 1789.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. William Mudge and Katherine Jane Williamson.2 He married Alice Watson Hull, daughter of James Watson Hull and Sophia Hollamby.2 He died in 1854.3
