Henry Cayley was born on 20 December 1834.1 He was the son of Edward Cayley and Frances Twopeny.2 He married Letitia Mary Walters, daughter of Reverend Nicholas Walters, on 10 July 1862.1 He died on 19 March 1904 at age 69.1
He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He gained the rank of Deputy Surgeon-General in the Bengal Army.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)2 He was Honorary Surgeon to HM King Edward VII.2

Maj.-Gen. Sir Walter de Sausmarez Cayley was born on 8 August 1863.1 He was the son of Henry Cayley and Letitia Mary Walters.2 He married Constance Blakeney, daughter of Rev. Canon Richard Paul Blakeney and Elizabeth Bibby, on 8 December 1886 in a childless marriage.3 He was also reported to have been married on 8 December 1896.1 He died on 21 July 1952 at age 88.1
