     Mary Waldegrave was born in 1549.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Edward Waldegrave and Frances Neville.¹ She married John Petre, 1st Baron Petre, son of Sir William Petre and Anne Browne, on 17 April 1570.² She died on 29 August 1604.¹
     From 17 April 1570, her married name became Petre.² After her marriage, Mary Waldegrave was styled as Baroness Petre on 21 July 1603.

     Hon. Thomas Petre was born on 2 November 1584.¹ He was the son of John Petre, 1st Baron Petre and Mary Waldegrave.¹

     John Petre, 1st Baron Petre was born on 20 December 1549 at Ingatestone, Essex, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir William Petre and Anne Browne.^2,1 He married Mary Waldegrave, daughter of Sir Edward Waldegrave and Frances Neville, on 17 April 1570.³ He died on 11 October 1613 at age 63 at West Horndon, Essex, England^G.¹
     He was admitted to Middle Temple.³ He was Commissioner of Victuals and Musters.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Essex.³ He held the office of High Sheriff to Essex from 1575 to 1576.³ He was appointed Knight in 1576.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between 1584 and 1587.³ He was created 1st Baron Petre, of Writtle, co. Essex [England] on 21 July 1603.³

     Francis Petre was born in 1607.¹ He was the son of Hon. Thomas Petre and Elizabeth Baskerville.¹ He died on 9 October 1658.¹

     Frances Petre is the daughter of Francis Petre and Elizabeth Gage.¹

     Elizabeth Gage was born in 1611.¹ She died on 14 March 1655.¹

     Elizabeth Baskerville was born in 1589.¹ She was the daughter of William Baskerville and Elizabeth Brand.¹

     Elizabeth Mott was born circa 1594.² She was the daughter of William Mott.¹ She married Sir Thomas Foote, 1st Bt. on 16 December 1625.^1,2 She died on 6 October 1667.²
     From 16 December 1625, her married name became Foote.¹
