General Sir Frank Edward Kitson was born on 15 December 1926.2 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Karslake Kitson and Marjorie de Pass.2 He married Elizabeth Janet Spencer, daughter of Colonel Charles Richard Spencer and Millicent Howard, in 1962.1 He died on 2 January 2024 at age 97.2
He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.)1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was Commander-in-Chief, Land Forces.2
