Catherine Lyon Sophia Cavie was the daughter of W. Woolby Cavie.1 She married Sir John William Campbell of Airds, 1st Bt., son of John Campbell, 3rd of Ardnamurchan and Hannah Elizabeth Macleod, on 24 July 1867.1 She died on 17 May 1910.2

Sir Colin Campbell of Aberuchill, 1st Bt. was the son of James Campbell of Aberuchill and Ann Hepburn.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Foulis, daughter of Alexander Foulis of Ratho.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Mackenzie, daughter of Sir John Mackenzie of Tarbat, 1st Bt. and Margaret Erskine, circa 9 August 1667.1 He died on 16 February 1704.1
He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates on 4 November 1664.3 He held the office of Sheriff Depute of Argyllshire in 1668.1 He was created 1st Baronet Campbell, of Aberuchill [Nova Scotia] from 23 January 1667/68 to 16 May 1668.1 In 1669 he bought the territorial Barony of Kilbryde.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Inverary [Scotland] between 1669 and 1674.3 He held the office of Lord of Session in 1689.1 He was styled as Lord Aberuchill [Scottish Law Lord] in 1689.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1690.1 He held the office of Lord of Justiciary in 1690.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Perthshire [Scotland] between 1690 and 1702.1 All his lands erected into a free Barony of Aberuchill.1
