Dame Miriam Louisa Rothschild was born on 5 August 1908.1 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Charles Rothschild and Rozsika Edle von Wertheimstein.2 She married Colonel George Henry Lane, son of Ernest Lanyi, on 14 August 1943.1 She and Colonel George Henry Lane were divorced in 1957.1 She died on 20 January 2005 at age 96 at Ashton Wold, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.3
