     Sir William Alington was born circa 1420 at Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was the son of unknown Alington. He married Elizabeth Wentworth, daughter of Henry Wentworth and Elizabeth Howard.2 He died on 22 August 1485 at Bosworth, Leicestershire, England, killed in action.2
     He fought in the Battle of Bosworth on 22 August 1485.2

     Margaret Stewart was the daughter of Sir John Stewart.1 She married Sir Duncan Campbell, 1st Lord Campbell, son of Sir Colin Campbell of Lochow and Mariot Campbell, before 12 March 1439/40.1 She died after August 1442.1
     From before 12 March 1439/40, her married name became Campbell.1

Margaret Moubray1

     Margaret Moubray is the daughter of John Moubray of Barnbougle.1 She married, firstly, John Cornwall of Bonhard.2 She married, secondly, William Graham, 3rd Earl of Menteith, son of Alexander Graham, 2nd Earl of Menteith and Margaret Buchanan, before 16 June 1521.2
     Her married name became Cornwall.2 From before 16 June 1521, her married name became Graham. After her marriage, Margaret Moubray was styled as Countess of Menteith in 1537.

     Catherine Maclean was the daughter of Lachlan 'Cattanach' Maclean, 7th of Duart and Marion Maclean.2,3 She married, thirdly, Shane 'an Diomais' O'Neill, son of Con 'Baccach' O'Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone and unknown daughter O'Byrne.3 She married by contract, firstly, Archibald Campbell, 4th Earl of Argyll, son of Colin Campbell, 3rd Earl of Argyll and Jean Gordon, on 12 March 1545/46.1,4 She married, secondly, Callough O'Donnell, The O'Donnell of Tir Conaill, son of Maghnus O'Donnell and Johanna O'Neill, after 1558.5 She married, fourthly, John Stewart before 6 April 1575.5 She died before 1595.4
     After her marriage, Catherine Maclean was styled as Countess of Argyll on 12 March 1545/46. From 12 March 1545/46, her married name became Campbell.1 From after 1558, her married name became O'Donnell.5 From 2 June 1567, her married name became O'Neill. Callough O'Donnell, The O'Donnell of Tir Conaill1

     Callough O'Donnell, The O'Donnell of Tir Conaill was the son of Maghnus O'Donnell and Johanna O'Neill.2 He married Catherine Maclean, daughter of Lachlan 'Cattanach' Maclean, 7th of Duart and Marion Maclean, after 1558.1 He died on 26 November 1566.1,3
     He was also known as Calvagh.1 He held the position of Chief of the Name from between 1555 and 1566.4 He was created 1st Earl of Tyrconnell [Ireland] on 22 May 1561, which was orderd by Queen Elizabeth I, although this was never carried out.1,3 In 1564 he was granted Tirconnell by Queen Elizabeth I of England.4
