     Arthur Weldon was born before 1827.1 He was the son of Sir Anthony Weldon, 4th Bt. and Harriett Hockeley.1 He died in July 1853, unmarried.1

     Sir Anthony Arthur Weldon, 6th Bt. was born on 1 March 1863 at Oxford Square, Paddington, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Anthony Crossdill Weldon, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Caroline Thomasina Kennedy.1 He married Winifred Varty-Rogers, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Edward Varty-Rogers and Georgiana Florence Cooke, on 11 February 1902 at St. Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 29 June 1917 at age 54.2
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated in 1884 at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians.)1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Commander-in-Chief between 1895 and 1900.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Queen's County.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Burdett, of Dunmore, co. Carlow [I., 1723] on 14 January 1900.1 He was Vice-Chamberlain to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1905 and 1908.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kildare in 1906.2 He was State Steward and Chamberlain between 1908 and 1917.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Queen's County.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2

Winifred Varty-Rogers1

     Winifred Varty-Rogers was born in 1879.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Edward Varty-Rogers and Georgiana Florence Cooke.1 She married, firstly, Sir Anthony Arthur Weldon, 6th Bt., son of Sir Anthony Crossdill Weldon, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Caroline Thomasina Kennedy, on 11 February 1902 at St. Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London, EnglandG.1 She married, secondly, Wilfred Fitzgerald on 17 December 1938.3 She died on 19 February 1951.3
     From 11 February 1902, her married name became Weldon.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.3 From 17 December 1938, her married name became Fitzgerald.3
