George Dean-Pitt was born illegitimately circa 1781.2 He was the son of George Pitt, 2nd Baron Rivers and Patience Dean.1,2 He married Susan Baillie on 20 May 1818 at St. James' Parish Church, Bristol, England.2 He died on 8 January 1851 at Governor's Residence, Princes Street, Auckland, New Zealand.2 He was buried at Symonds Street Cemetery, Auckland, New Zealand.2
