Agnes de Ribemont is the daughter of unknown de Ribemont.1 She married Walter Giffard, 1st Earl of Buckingham, son of Walter Giffard, Seigneur de Longueville and Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel.1
Her married name became Giffard.1 After her marriage, Agnes de Ribemont was styled as Countess of Buckingham circa 1097.

Sir George Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 1st Bt. was born in 1738.1 He was the son of John Buchan of Letham and Elizabeth Hepburn.1 He married, firstly, Jean Leith, daughter of Alexander Leith of Glenkindie.1 He married, secondly, Margaretta Henrietta Beck, daughter of John Zacharias Beck, on 19 April 1781.1 He died on 26 June 1819.1
He was given the name of George Buchan at birth.1 He was a practising advocate in 1763.1 In 1764 his name was legally changed to George Buchan-Hepburn.1 He was Solicitor to the Lords of Session between 1767 and 1790.1 He held the office of Judge of the Admiralty Court between 1790 and 1791.1 He held the office of Baron of the Exchequer [Scotland] between 1791 and 1814.1 He was created 1st Baronet Buchan-Hepburn [U.K.] on 6 May 1815.1

Anne Broun was the daughter of Charles Broun of Cleghornie.1 She married John Buchan of Letham, son of George Buchan of Kelloe and Ann Hay, in 1790.1 She died on 26 February 1790.2

Sir John Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 2nd Bt. was born on 17 June 1776.2 He was the son of Sir George Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 1st Bt. and Jean Leith.2 He married Mary Turner Hog, daughter of Thomas Hog of Newliston and Lady Mary Julian Maitland, on 29 August 1800.2 He died on 8 October 1833 at age 57.2
He was a practising Advocate in 1790.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Buchan-Hepburn [U.K., 1815] on 26 June 1819.2
