     Henry Trail Erskine was born on 25 December 1815.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Thomas Erskine and Henrietta Eliza Trail.1 He married Eliza Sarah Hore, daughter of Commander Herbert William Hore, on 18 December 1856.1 He died on 21 May 1865 at age 49, without issue.1

     Eliza Sarah Hore was the daughter of Commander Herbert William Hore.1 She married Henry Trail Erskine, son of Rt. Hon. Thomas Erskine and Henrietta Eliza Trail, on 18 December 1856.1 She died in February 1899.1
     From 18 December 1856, her married name became Erskine.

     Colonel Henry Adeane Erskine was born on 1 March 1857.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Erskine and Emmeline Augusta Adeane.1 He married Florence Eliza Palmer Chapman, daughter of Venerable Robert Chapman, on 8 July 1891.1 He died on 9 February 1953 at age 95.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1911.1 He was commander.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.1 He was Training Colonel and Deputy Director of Supplies in 1917.1 He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.1 He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Royal Army Service Corps.1

     From 8 July 1891, her married name became Erskine.

Henry David Erskine1

     Henry David Erskine was born on 17 October 1897.1 He was the son of Colonel Henry Adeane Erskine and Florence Eliza Palmer Chapman.1 He died on 31 March 1915 at age 17, killed in action on H.M.S. Minotaur.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Midshipman in the Royal Navy.1
