     Dr. Vivian Richard Bruce was born in 1919.1 He was the son of Robert Cathcart Bruce and Emma Dorothy Croce.1 He married, firstly, Norah Maeve Yates in 1942.1 He married, secondly, Bernadette Yates in 1962.1 He and Bernadette Yates were divorced in 1983.1 He married, thirdly, Valerie Florence May Bruce Baylis, daughter of Nelson Fitzroy Baylis, in 1983.1 He died on 2 June 2008.2
     Dr. Vivian Richard Bruce also went by the nick-name of Dick.2 He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of General Practitioners (F.R.C.G.P.)1 He lived in 2003 at Lindavanally, 25a George Douglas Drive, Ryedale, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1
