Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Ambrose Browne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adam.1 He married Philippa Cooper, daughter of Sir John Cooper, 1st Bt. and Anne Ashley, before 1658.1 He died circa October 1690, without surviving male issue.1 He was buried on 3 November 1690 at Dorking, Surrey, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in December 1690.1
     On 30 June 1648 he was fined £60 as a delinquent, increased to £240.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey between 1661 and 1679.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Browne, of Bettsworth Castle, co. Surrey [E., 1627] on 16 August 1661.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey between 1685 and 1687.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Philippa Cooper was born circa 1624.1 She was the daughter of Sir John Cooper, 1st Bt. and Anne Ashley.1 She married Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Ambrose Browne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adam, before 1658.1 She died on 20 May 1701.1 Her will was proven (by probate) in May 1701.1
     From before 1658, her married name became Browne.1

     Ambrose Browne was born circa 1659.1 He was the son of Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt. and Philippa Cooper.1 He died circa July 1688, unmarried.1 He was buried on 24 July 1688 at Dorking, Surrey, EnglandG.1
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 4 November 1673.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bletchingley between 1685 and 1687.1

     Malinda Dodson was born in 1790.1 She was the daughter of Enoch Dodson and Elizabeth LEgett.1 She married Samuel Agnew, son of Samuel Agnew and Elizabeth Seawright. She died in 1851.1

John Browne1

     John Browne was the son of Josias Browne and Joan Birmingham.2 He married Mary Browne, daughter of Sir Dominick Browne and Anastacia Darcy, in 1626.2 He died in 1670.2 He was buried at Ross Abbey, County Galway, IrelandG.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Browne, of the Neale, near Ballinrobe, co. Mayo [Nova Scotia] on 21 June 1636, although he did not assume the title.2
