Sir Robert Edward Laycock and Lady Clare Angela Louise Ward.1,3 He married Eve Lucinda Fleming, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Peter Fleming and Dame Celia Elizabeth Johnson, in 1971.1 He died on 14 December 1980 at age 42, accidentally drowned in a boating accident on the Thames.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4
