     Lady Sophia Henrietta Duff was born in 1740.² She was the daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.¹ She married Thomas Wharton-Duff on 13 July 1774.¹ She died in 1826.²
     From 13 July 1774, her married name became Wharton.² From 1805, her married name became Wharton-Duff.
     She had four children.²

     Thomas Wharton-Duff was born in October 1735.¹ He married Lady Sophia Henrietta Duff, daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant, on 13 July 1774.² He died in 1816.¹
     He was given the name of Thomas Wharton at birth.¹ He was Commissioner of Excise [Scotland].² In 1805 his name was legally changed to Thomas Wharton-Duff.¹

     Lady Catherine Duff was born in 1741.¹ She was the daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.¹ She died in 1765 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Arthur Duff was born in 1743.² He was the son of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.¹ He died on 20 April 1805, unmarried.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Elginshire between 1774 and 1779.¹ He was a practising Advocate.¹ He lived at Orton, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Ludovick Duff was born in 1698.¹ He was the son of William Duff and Helen Gordon.¹

     Clive Brooke, Baron Brooke of Alverthorpe was born on 21 June 1942.¹ He is the son of John Brooke and Mary Colbeck.¹ He married Lorna Hopkin Roberts in 1967.¹
     He was educated at Thornes House School, Wakefield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹ He was assistant secretary of the Inland Revenue Staff Federation between 1964 and 1982.¹ He was Deputy General Secretary of the Inland Revenue Staff Federation between 1982 and 1988.¹ He was General Secretary of the Inland Revenue Staff Federation between 1988 and 1995.¹ He was created Baron Brooke of Alverthorpe, of Alverthorpe in the County of West Yorkshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 2 August 1997.¹

     Lorna Hopkin Roberts married Clive Brooke, Baron Brooke of Alverthorpe, son of John Brooke and Mary Colbeck, in 1967.¹
     From 1967, her married name became Brooke.¹ After her marriage, Lorna Hopkin Roberts was styled as Baroness Brooke of Alverthorpe on 2 August 1997.

     Sir Berney Brograve, 1st Bt. was born on 10 October 1726 at St. Dunstan's in the West, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Thomas Brograve and Julia Berney.¹ He married, firstly, Jane Hawker, daughter of Edward Hawker, on 31 May 1761 at Great Badow, Essex, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Jane Hallcott, daughter of Matthew Hallcott, on 23 January 1769 at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He died circa 1797.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered in March 1797.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Brograve, of Worstead House, co. Norfolk [Great Britain] on 28 July 1791.¹
