Sir Thomas Brooke, 1st and last Bt. was born on 31 May 1830.1 He was the son of Thomas Brooke and Ann Ingham.1 He married, firstly, Eliza Vickerman, daughter of Enoch Vickerman, on 20 September 1854.1 He married, secondly, Amelia Dewar, daughter of David Dewar, on 3 July 1860.1 He married, secondly, Mary Priestley, daughter of James Priestley, on 30 September 1902.1 He died on 16 July 1908 at age 78, without surviving issue.1
He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Brooke, of Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield, co. York [U.K.] on 4 August 1899.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
