Sir George Bowyer, 3rd/7th Bt. was born on 8 October 1811 at Radley House, Radley, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir George Bowyer, 2nd/6th Bt. and Anne Hammond Douglas.1 He died on 7 June 1883 at age 71 at 13 King's Bench Walk, Temple, London, EnglandG, unmarried, found dead in his bed.1 He was buried on 7 June 1883 at Radley, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 24 August 1883, at under £9,000.1
He was admitted to Middle Temple on 1 June 1836 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 12 June 1839.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 20 June 1844.1 On 11 January 1845 he transferred to Lincoln's Inn.1 He wrote the book Commentaries on Modern Civil Law, published 1848.1 In 1849 he unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary seat of Reading.1 He built the Roman Catholic Church of St. John of Jerusalem in, in Great Ormond Street, London.1 He was Chamberlain to HH Pope Pius IX.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Dundalk between 1852 and 1868.1 He was appointed Grand Collar, Constantinian Order of St. George.1 He was appointed Knight of Justice, Sovereign Military Order of Malta.1 He was appointed Bailiff Grand Cross, Order of St. Gregory the Great.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bowyer, of Radley, co. Berks [G.B., 1794] on 1 July 1860.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Bowyer, of Denham, co. Bucks [E., 1660] on 1 July 1860.1 He wrote the book Introduction to the Study and Use of the Civil Law, published 1874.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Wexford between 1874 and 1880.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

Sir William Bowyer, 4th/8th Bt. was born in October 1812.1 He was the son of Sir George Bowyer, 2nd/6th Bt. and Anne Hammond Douglas.1 He married Ellen Sarah Woolmer, daughter of Shirley Foster Woolmer, on 16 June 1857.1 He died on 30 May 1893 at age 80 at 25 Park Crescent, Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG, without issue.1 He was buried at Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.1
