     She was an actress.2 From May 1768, her married name became Canning.1

     Paul Canning was the son of Stratford Canning and Letitia Newburgh.1,2 He married Jane Charlotte Spencer, daughter of Conway Spencer, on 20 July 1776.3 He died in November 1784.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Londonderry Militia.3 In 1775 he inheritied Garvagh due to his elder brother's being disinherited.3 He lived at Garvagh, County Londonderry, IrelandG.3

George Canning, 1st Baron Garvagh1

     George Canning, 1st Baron Garvagh was born on 15 November 1778.2 He was the son of Paul Canning and Jane Charlotte Spencer.1,3 He married, firstly, Lady Georgiana Stewart, daughter of Robert Stewart, 1st Marquess of Londonderry and Lady Frances Pratt, on 13 July 1803.2 He married, secondly, Rosabelle Charlotte Isabella Bonham, daughter of Henry Bonham and Charlotte Elizabeth Morrice, on 9 July 1824.2 He died on 20 August 1840 at age 61.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the County Londonderry.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Sligo between 1806 and 1812.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Petersfield between 1812 and 1820.2 He was created 1st Baron Garvagh, of Garvagh, co. Londonderry [Ireland] on 28 October 1818.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)2

     Stratford Canning, 1st Viscount Stratford de Redcliffe was born on 4 November 1786.3 He was the son of Stratford Canning and Mehitabel Patrick.4,5 He married, firstly, Harriet Raikes, daughter of Thomas Raikes and Charlotte Finch, on 3 August 1816.3 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander, daughter of James Alexander and Eliza Dundas, on 3 September 1825.1 He died on 14 August 1880 at age 93.1
