Colonel James Law Lushington Morant1

     Colonel James Law Lushington Morant was born on 17 November 1839 at Belgaum, India.1 He was the son of Reverend James Morant and Barbara Wilson Lushington.1 He married Catherine Lushington, daughter of Charles Ansell Lushington and Helen Jenkins.2 He died on 17 June 1886 at age 46 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1

     James Law Lushington was born in 1823 at Trichonopoly, Madras, IndiaG.2 He was the son of Charles May Lushington and Katherine Ansell.3,4 He married Emma Nelson in 1851.1 He died in 1905.1
