     Brig.-Gen. Robert Hugh Hare was born on 4 December 1867.2 He was the son of Edward Hare and Mary Ann Wood.2 He married Lillian Louise Mellor, daughter of James Mellor.2 He died on 2 October 1950 at age 82 at Burley, Hampshire, EnglandG.2
     He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1

     Lt.-Col. James Hugh Hare was born on 23 November 1911 at Burley, Hampshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Robert Hugh Hare and Lillian Louise Mellor.1 He married Rosemary Ducat-Hamersley, daughter of Hugh Charles Claude Ducat-Hamersley, in 1941.1 He died on 28 October 1944 at age 32 at The Netherlands, killed in action.1,3
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 27 August 1931 in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 27 August 1934.2 He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Captain on 27 August 1939.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Major on 26 August 1941.2
