Rupert Tyrwhitt was born on 25 May 1859.² He was the son of Sir Henry Thomas Tyrwhitt, 3rd Bt. and Emma Harriet Wilson, Baroness Berners.¹ He married Louise Isabel Frances Wells, daughter of Walter Fox Williamson Wells and Emily Frederica Arbuthnot, on 15 November 1900.^1,2 He died on 3 August 1940 at age 81.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in 1914.²

     Louise Isabel Frances Wells was born before 1885. She was the daughter of Walter Fox Williamson Wells and Emily Frederica Arbuthnot.¹ She married Major Hon.
