Miles Beevor was born on 8 March 1900.1 He was the son of Rowland Beevor and Margaret Frances Evans.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Florence Platt, daughter of Algernon John Frederick Platt, on 17 September 1924.1 He married, secondly, Sybil Gilliat, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Babington Gilliat and Muriel Helen Lycette Grinnell-Milne, on 23 April 1935.2 He died on 9 September 1994 at age 94.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1921 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a solicitor in 1925.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in 1941 in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He was chief legal advisor for LNER in 1943.1 He was chief secretary and legal advisor for the British Transport Commission between 1947 and 1951.1 He was acting chief general manager for LNER in June 1947.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.1 He was managing director of Brush Group Ltd between 1954 and 1958.1
