     Miles Beevor was born on 8 March 1900.¹ He was the son of Rowland Beevor and Margaret Frances Evans.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Florence Platt, daughter of Algernon John Frederick Platt, on 17 September 1924.¹ He married, secondly, Sybil Gilliat, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Babington Gilliat and Muriel Helen Lycette Grinnell-Milne, on 23 April 1935.² He died on 9 September 1994 at age 94.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1921 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a solicitor in 1925.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in 1941 in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was chief legal advisor for LNER in 1943.¹ He was chief secretary and legal advisor for the British Transport Commission between 1947 and 1951.¹ He was acting chief general manager for LNER in June 1947.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.¹ He was managing director of Brush Group Ltd between 1954 and 1958.¹

     Margaret Florence Platt was the daughter of Algernon John Frederick Platt.² She married Miles Beevor, son of Rowland Beevor and Margaret Frances Evans, on 17 September 1924.¹ She died on 15 February 1934.¹
     From 17 September 1924, her married name became Beevor.¹

     Algernon John Frederick Platt was born on 11 June 1875.² He married Norah Cunningham.² He died on 22 September 1912 at age 37 at Lochmaddy, North Uist, Scotland.²
