Cyril Davenport Siddeley, 2nd Baron Kenilworth was born on 27 August 1894.1 He was the son of John Davenport Siddeley, 1st Baron Kenilworth and Sarah Mabel Goodier.2 He married Marjorie Tennant Firth, daughter of Harry Firth, on 30 September 1919.1 He died on 11 August 1971 at age 76.1
He was educated at St. Lawrence College, Ramsgate, Kent, England.1 He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was director of Armstrong-Siddeley Motors, and Burlington Carriage Company.1 He fought in the Second World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire in 1942.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1944.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1947 and 1952 in the 7th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Territorial Army.1 He succeeded as the 1st Baron Kenilworth, of Kenilworth, co. Warwick [U.K., 1937] on 3 November 1953.2
