Lincoln [Great Britain] on 24 March 1781.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire between 1794 and 1795.³ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 1 July 1795.³ He held the office of Commissioner of the Board of Trade in 1797.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 29 March 1797.³ He was founding president of the Royal Institution between 1799 and 1800.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1815.³
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.³
