     John Anchitel Ashburnham was born on 6 February 1865.¹ He was the son of John Woodgate Ashburnham and Julia Letitia Merriman.¹ He married Jean Price, daughter of Reverend R. Price, on 20 June 1894.¹ He died on 20 June 1939 at age 74.¹
     He was Assistant Commissioner for the Northern District, Bechuanaland Protectorate.² He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Johannesburg.¹

     Lt.-Col. John William James Clark-Kennedy was the son of Captain Alexander William Clark-Kennedy and Hon. Lettice Lucy Hewitt.¹ He married Phyllis Elizabeth Ashburnham, daughter of John Anchitel Ashburnham and Jean Price, on 6 April 1918.¹ He died on 19 June 1939.¹
     He was in the South African Police.¹

     Captain Alexander William Clark-Kennedy married Hon. Lettice Lucy Hewitt, daughter of James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford and Lydia Lucy Wingfield Digby, on 4 February 1875.² He died on 21 December 1894.²
