     Emma Isabella Wilson Souter was the daughter of Captain Thomas Alexander Souter.¹ She married Colonel Edward Penfold Arthur, son of Lt.-Gen. Rt. Hon. Sir George Arthur, 1st Bt. and Eliza Ord Ussher Smith, in 1847.¹ She died on 13 February 1912.¹
     From 1847, her married name became Arthur.¹
