     Major John André was born in 1751.^1,2 He was the son of Anthony André and Marie Louise Girardot.¹ He died on 2 October 1780 at Tappan, New York, U.S.A.^G, hung as a traitor.¹

     Sir William Andrews, 1st Bt. married unknown Paris.¹ He died before January 1649, from gout.¹ He was buried at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Andrews, of Deinton [Little Doddington], co. Northampton [England] on 11 December 1641.¹ In February 1648 he was a Royalist and a Compounder.¹
     He had five sons, three of whom fell at the battle of Worcester, fighting for the Royalists.¹

     Eleanor Atslow was the daughter of Edward Atslow and unknown Paris.¹ She married Sir William Andrews, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Andrews, 1st Bt. and unknown Paris.¹

     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Andrews, of Deinton [Little Doddington], co. Northampton [E., 1641] on 15 August 1684.¹ In 1698 he sold the estate of Downham under an Act of Parliament.¹

     Bridget Clifton was the daughter of Sir Thomas Clifton, 1st and last Bt. and Bridget Hussey.¹ She married Sir Francis Andrews, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Andrews, 3rd Bt. and Eleanor Atslow.¹
     Her married name became Andrews.¹
