     Colonel Quentin Charles Graham Kinnaird Agnew was born on 8 January 1861.² He was the son of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 8th Bt. and Lady Mary Arabella Louisa Noel.² He married, firstly, Evelyn Mary Alexander, daughter of Captain John Hobhouse Inglis Alexander, on 9 February 1899.² He married, secondly, Cicely Anne Churchill Inskip, daughter of James Inskip and Constance Sophia Louisa Hampden, on 3 July 1916.² He died on 23 March 1937 at age 76.²
     He fought in the Third Burma War between 1885 and 1886.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Scots Fusiliers.¹ He fought in the Tirah Campaign between 1897 and 1898.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wigtownshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902.¹ He was Military Secretary to the Governor of Gibraltar between 1902 and 1905.² He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1903.¹ He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1906.² He fought in the First World War, in France.² He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign.

     Evelyn Mary Alexander was the daughter of Captain John Hobhouse Inglis Alexander.¹ She married Colonel Quentin Charles Graham Kinnaird Agnew, son of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 8th Bt. and Lady Mary Arabella Louisa Noel, on 9 February 1899.¹ She died on 28 November 1913.¹
     From 9 February 1899, her married name became Agnew.¹

     Captain John Hobhouse Inglis Alexander was born in 1832.² He was the son of Boyd Alexander and Sophia Elizabeth Hobhouse.² He married Isabella Barbara Hume, daughter of Thomas Cochrane Hume, on 23 January 1860.² He died on 22 November 1875.²

     Colonel David Quentin Hope Agnew was born on 7 February 1900.¹ He was the son of Colonel Quentin Charles Graham Kinnaird Agnew and Evelyn Mary Alexander.¹ He married Janet May Dilkes Malden, daughter of Reverend Charles Herbert Malden, on 27 August 1927.¹ He died on 27 April 1975 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Clifton School, England^G.¹ He fought in the Third Afghan War in 1919.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Burma and Malaya, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.¹

     Janet May Dilkes Malden was the daughter of Reverend Charles Herbert Malden.¹ She married Colonel David Quentin Hope Agnew, son of Colonel Quentin Charles Graham Kinnaird Agnew and Evelyn Mary Alexander, on 27 August 1927.¹ She died on 4 September 1980.¹
     From 27 August 1927, her married name became Agnew.¹

     Dr. Andrew David Quentin Agnew was born on 31 December 1929.¹ He is the son of Colonel David Quentin Hope Agnew and Janet May Dilkes Malden.¹ He married Shirley Smithson, daughter of James Arnold Smithson, on 3 August 1957.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He graduated from University of Wales, Bangor, Caernarvonshire, Wales^G, in 1957 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Garth House, Furnace, Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire, Wales^G.¹

     Shirley Smithson is the daughter of James Arnold Smithson.¹ She married Dr. Andrew David Quentin Agnew, son of Colonel David Quentin Hope Agnew and Janet May Dilkes Malden, on 3 August 1957.¹
