     Captain Lord Frederick Charles Peter Beauclerk was born on 28 June 1808.1 He was the son of William Beauclerk, 8th Duke of Saint Albans and Maria Janetta Nelthorpe.2 He married Jemima Eleanora Johnstone, daughter of James Raymond Johnstone of Alva and Mary Elizabeth Cholmeley, on 16 February 1848.2 He died on 17 November 1865 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1823 in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Battle of Navarino.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1834.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1856.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.1 He lived at Little Grimsby Hall, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1

     Jemima Eleanora Johnstone was the daughter of James Raymond Johnstone of Alva and Mary Elizabeth Cholmeley. She married Captain Lord Frederick Charles Peter Beauclerk, son of William Beauclerk, 8th Duke of Saint Albans and Maria Janetta Nelthorpe, on 16 February 1848.2 She died on 14 October 1877.2
     From 16 February 1848, her married name became Beauclerk.

     He was commissioned in 1830 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1841.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1846.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1864.1 He lived at Leiston Hall, Suffolk, EnglandG.1

     Lady Caroline Janetta Beauclerk was born on 28 June 1804.2 She was the daughter of William Beauclerk, 8th Duke of Saint Albans and Maria Janetta Nelthorpe.2 She married Arthur Algernon Capell, 6th Earl of Essex, son of Hon. John Thomas Capel and Lady Caroline Paget, on 14 July 1825.1 She died on 22 August 1862 at age 58.1
     Her married name became Capell. After her marriage, Lady Caroline Janetta Beauclerk was styled as Countess of Essex on 23 April 1839.

     General William Cadogan, 1st Earl Cadogan was born in 1672 at Liscartan, County Meath, IrelandG.3 He was the son of Henry Cadogan and Bridget Waller.4 He married Margaretta Cecilia Munter, daughter of Jan Munter and Margaretha Trip, in April 1704 at The Hague, The NetherlandsG.3,5 He died on 17 July 1726 at Kensington Gravel Pits, Kensington, London, EnglandG, without male issue.1 He was buried at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.6 His will was proven (by probate) on 7 November 1726.6
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, on 28 March 1687.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1694.1 He was Colonel of the 7th (Cadogan's) Horse between 1703 and 1712.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1704.1 He fought in the Battle of Blenheim in 1704.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      On his death, his earldom, viscountancy and earlier barony all became extinct.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.7
