     Arthur Hugh Smith-Barry, 1st and last Baron Barrymore was born on 17 January 1843 at Leamington, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of James Hugh Smith-Barry and Elizabeth Jacson.1 He was baptised at Leamington, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Frances Wyndham-Quin, daughter of Edwin Richard Wyndham-Quin, 3rd Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl and Augusta Gould, on 17 August 1868 at St. Brides, Glamorgan, WalesG.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Wadsworth, daughter of General James Samuel Wadsworth and Mary Craig Wharton, on 28 February 1889 at St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 22 February 1925 at age 82 at London, EnglandG, without surviving male issue.1 He was buried on 24 February 1925 at Golders Green CemeteryG, cremated.1
     He was educated between 1856 and 1858 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated between 1863 and 1865 at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
