Haakon IV Haakonsson, King of Norway was born in 1204.1 He was the son of Haakon III Sverkersson, King of Norway and Inga of Varteig.1 He married, firstly, Kanaga (?) before 1225.1 He married, secondly, Margareta Skulesdotter, daughter of Skuli Baardsson, Jarl Skule and Ragnhild (?), in 1225.1 He died circa 15 December 1263.
Haakon IV Haakonsson, King of Norway also went by the nick-name of Haakon 'the Old'.2 He succeeded as the King Haakon IV of Norway in 1217.1
