David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus was born circa 1515.1 He was the son of Sir George Douglas and Elizabeth Douglas.1 He married Margaret Hamilton, daughter of Sir John Hamilton and Janet Home, after 8 May 1552.1 He died in June 1557 at Cockburnspath, ScotlandG.1
He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Angus [S., 1389] in January 1556/57.1

Margaret Hamilton is the daughter of Sir John Hamilton and Janet Home.1 She married, firstly, James Johnstone of Johnstone, younger, son of John Johnstone of Johnstone and Elizabeth Jardine, before 1552.1 She married, secondly, David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus, son of Sir George Douglas and Elizabeth Douglas, after 8 May 1552.1 She married, thirdly, Sir Patrick Whitelaw of that Ilk after June 1557.1

Alexander Home, 3rd Lord Home was the son of Alexander Home, 2nd Lord Home and Nichole Ker.2 He married Agnes Stewart, daughter of James Stewart, 1st Earl of Buchan and Margaret Murray, from 9 September 1513 to 25 February 1513/14.3,2 He died on 8 October 1516, beheaded.4
He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Home [S., 1473] on 9 September 1506.2 He held the office of Great Chamberlain [Scotland] in 1507.2 He and Katherine Stirling were associated in 1513.5 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513, where he lead the van of the Scottish army, with Huntly.2 He was tried for treason for siding with the pro-English party against Regent Albany, found guilty, and was attainted and sentenced to death.2

Archibald Douglas, 8th Earl of Angus was born circa 1555.1 He was the son of David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus and Margaret Hamilton.1 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Erskine, daughter of John Erskine, 18th/1st Earl of Mar and Annabel Murray, on 13 June 1573 at Stirling, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.1 He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Leslie, daughter of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Margaret Crichton, on 25 December 1575.1 He and Lady Margaret Leslie were divorced on 12 July 1587.1,2 He married by contract, thirdly, Jean Lyon, daughter of John Lyon, 8th Lord Glamis and Hon. Elizabeth Abernethy, on 29 July 1587.3 He died on 4 August 1588 at Smeaton, ScotlandG, probably from consumption but attributed to sorcery, without male issue.3
