     Anne Spencer was born in 1720 at Rendlesham, Suffolk, England^G.³ She was the daughter of Edward Spencer and Anne (?)^1,3 She married, firstly, James Hamilton, 5th Duke of Hamilton, son of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard, on 21 August 1737, (although Scots Peerage states 23 July.)¹ She married, secondly, Hon. Richard Savage Nassau de Zuylestein, son of Frederick Nassau de Zuylestein, 3rd Earl of Rochford and Lady Bessy Savage, on 22 December 1751.¹ She died on 9 March 1771.¹ She was buried at Easton, Suffolk, England^G.¹ Her will (dated 10 Nov 1767) was proven (by probate) on 20 March 1771, directing her burial to be at Easton.¹
     After her marriage, Anne Spencer was styled as Duchess of Hamilton on 21 August 1737. From 21 August 1737, her married name became Hamilton. From 22 December 1751, her married name became Nassau.

Richard Savage Nassau de Zuylestein was born on 1 June 1723 at St. Osyth, Essex, England^G.³ He was the son of Frederick Nassau de Zuylestein, 3rd Earl of Rochford and Lady Bessy Savage.⁴ He married Anne Spencer, daughter of Edward Spencer and Anne (?), on 22 December 1751.¹ He died on 17 May 1780 at age 56.^1,3
     He lived at Easton, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Lord Anne Hamilton was born on 12 October 1709.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard.¹ He married Anna Charlotta Maria Powell, daughter of Charles Powell and Mary Powell, in October 1742.² He died on 25 December 1748 at age 39 at France^G.³
     He was named after his father's godmother, Queen Anne.⁴

     Gerard Anne Edwardes was baptised as a illegitimately on 28 March 1734.³ He was the son of Lord Anne Hamilton and Mary Edwardes.¹ He married Lady Jane Noel, daughter of Baptist Noel, 4th Earl of Gainsborough and Elizabeth Chapman, on 8 October 1754.¹ He died on 29 October 1773 at age 39.³

     Mary Edwardes was the daughter of Francis Edwardes.¹ She died on 23 August 1743.²

     Francis Edwardes lived at Welham, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Lady Jane Noel was born in 1733.² She was the daughter of Baptist Noel, 4th Earl of Gainsborough and Elizabeth Chapman.^3,4 She married Gerard Anne Edwardes, son of Lord Anne Hamilton and Mary Edwardes, on 8 October 1754.¹ She died in 1811.⁴

     Baptist Noel, 4th Earl of Gainsborough was born in May 1708.² He was the son of Baptist Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough and Lady Dorothy Manners.² He married Elizabeth Chapman, daughter of Christopher Chapman, in 1728.² He died on 21 March 1750/51 at age 42.²
     He succeeded as the 7th Baron Hicks of Ilmington, co. Warwick [E., 1628] on 16 April 1714.² He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Campden, co.
