     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Irish Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.

     Florence Sarah Louisa Platt was the daughter of John Platt.² She married, firstly, Captain Edmond Ernest Charles Wellesley, son of Colonel William Henry Charles Wellesley and Jane Malet Hayden, on 29 November 1882.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Arthur John Burr on 28 January 1890.² She died on 4 February 1937.¹
     From 29 November 1882, her married name became Wellesley.¹ From 28 January 1890, her married name became Burr.²

     Reverend Arthur John Burr was born on 4 October 1859.² He married Florence Sarah Louisa Platt, daughter of John Platt, on 28 January 1890.¹
