Lady Charlotte Sophia Somerset was born on 25 April 1795.1 She was the daughter of Henry Charles Somerset, 6th Duke of Beaufort and Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower.2 She married Frederick Gough, 4th Baron Calthorpe, son of Henry Gough-Calthorpe, 1st Baron Calthorpe and Frances Carpenter, on 12 August 1823.1 She died on 12 November 1865 at age 70 at Elvetham, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
From 12 August 1823, her married name became Gough-Calthorpe. From 14 May 1845, her married name became Gough.1 After her marriage, Lady Charlotte Sophia Somerset was styled as Baroness Calthorpe in September 1851.

Sir Francis Salwey Winnington, 5th Bt. was born on 24 September 1849.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Edward Winnington, 4th Bt. and Anna Helena Domvile.3 He married Jane Spencer-Churchill, daughter of Lord Alfred Spencer-Churchill and Hon. Harriet Louisa Hester Gough-Calthorpe, on 5 February 1879.1 He died on 4 March 1931 at age 81.2
