He was the son of Friedrich Christian I Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg and Charlotte von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön.² He married Louise Augusta Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark, daughter of Christian VII Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Caroline Matilda Hanover, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, on 27 May 1786 at Christiansborg Castle, Copenhagen, Denmark^G.³ He died on 14 June 1814 at age 48 at Augustenborg, Jylland, Denmark^G.³
     He gained the title of Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg.³

     Friedrich Emil August Prinz von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg was born on 23 August 1800 at Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany^G.² He was the son of Friedrich Christian II Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg and Louise Augusta Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark.¹ He married Countess Henrietta von Danneskjold-Samsöe, daughter of Count Christian Conrad Sophus von Danneskjold-Samsöe and Johanne Henriette Valentine Kaas, on 17 September 1829.³ He married Mary Esther Lee, daughter of David Lee, on 3 November 1864 at Paris, France^G.³ He died on 2 July 1865 at age 64 at Noer, Beirut, Lebanon^G.²
     He gained the title of Prinz von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg.¹ He was created Prince Friedrich von Noer on 6 October 1864.²

     Alexander Frederik Georg Prinz von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg was born on 20 July 1821.¹ He was also reported to have been born on 20 February 1821.      She gained the title of Prinzessin von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg.¹ She was given the name of Caroline Christine Auguste Emilie Henriette Elisabeth von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg at birth. Her married name became von Esmarch.

     Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Georg Prinz von Preußen was born on 26 September 1795.¹ He was the son of Friedrich Ludwig Karl Prinz von Preußen and Friederike Luise Karoline Sophie Charlotte Alexandrine Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz. He died on 6 April 1798 at age 2.¹

She was the daughter of Friedrich Ludwig Karl Prinz von Preußen and Friederike Luise Karoline Sophie Charlotte Alexandrine Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz. She married Leopold IV Friedrich Herzog von Anhalt-Dessau, son of Friedrich Prinz von Anhalt-Dessau and Amalie Prinzessin von Hessen-Homburg, on 18 April 1818. She died on 1 January 1850 at age 53.
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Preußen.¹

     Friedrich Wilhelm Prinz zu Solms-Braunfels was born on 22 October 1770 at Braunfels, Germany^G.² He was the son of Ferdinand Wilhelm Ernst Fürst zu Solms-Braunfels and Sophie Christine Wilhelmine Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach.³ He married Friederike Luise Karoline Sophie Charlotte Alexandrine Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz, daughter of Karl II Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Friederike Karoline Luise Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 10 January 1798 at Berlin, Germany.⁴ He died on 13 April 1814 at age 43 at Slawentzitz, Poland^G.²
