     Major John Spencer Cavendish was born on 25 March 1875.1 He was the son of Lord Edward Cavendish and Hon. Emma Elizabeth Lascelles.1 He died on 20 October 1914 at age 39, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 In November 1908 he was granted the rank of a duke's younger son.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Life Guards.1

Astaire.1 She married, firstly, Lord Charles Arthur Francis Cavendish, son of Victor Christian William Cavendish, 9th Duke of Devonshire and Lady Evelyn Emily Mary Petty-FitzMaurice, on 9 May 1932.1 She married, secondly, Kingman Douglass on 29 April 1947.1
     From 9 May 1932, her married name became Cavendish. From 29 April 1947, her married name became Douglass.

     Lady Maud Louisa Emma Cavendish was born on 20 April 1896.1 She was the daughter of Victor Christian William Cavendish, 9th Duke of Devonshire and Lady Evelyn Emily Mary Petty-FitzMaurice.1 She married, firstly, Captain Angus Alexander Mackintosh of Mackintosh, younger, son of Alfred Donald Mackintosh, 28th of Mackintosh and Harriet Diana Arabella Mary Richards, on 3 November 1917.1 She married, secondly, Brigadier Hon. George Evan Michael Baillie, son of Colonel James Evan Bruce Baillie of Dochfour and Nellie Lisa Bass, Baroness Burton of Burton-on-Trent and of Rangemore, on 15 November 1923.2 She died on 30 March 1975 at age 78.2
     From 3 November 1917, her married name became Mackintosh. From 15 November 1923, her married name became Baillie. She was a Controller with the Auxiliary Territorial Service.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) on 30 March 1975.2 She gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 540 Light AA Regiment, Royal Artillery.1 She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1945.2

     Her married name became Murray.1 After her marriage, Elizabeth Schaw was styled as Viscountess of Annand on 28 June 1622. After her marriage, Elizabeth Schaw was styled as Countess of Annandale on 13 March 1625.

     Her married name became Macmillan. She was appointed Dame Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1964.1

     Her married name became Stuart. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.1 After her marriage, Lady Rachel Cavendish was styled as Viscountess Stuart of Findhorn on 20 November 1959.

Henry Philip Hunloke, son of Major Sir Philip Hunloke and Sylvia Heseltine, on 28 November 1929.1 She and Lt.-Col. Henry Philip Hunloke were divorced in 1945.1 She married, secondly, Christopher John Holland-Martin, son of Robert Martin Holland-Martin and Eleanor Mary Bromley-Martin, on 27 July 1949.1 She married, thirdly, Alexander Victor Edward Paulet Montagu, 10th Earl of Sandwich, son of George Charles Montagu, 9th Earl of Sandwich and Alberta Sturges, on 7 June 1962.1 She died in 1981.1
     From 28 November 1929, her married name became Hunloke. From 27 July 1949, her married name became Holland-Martin.
