He married Wilhelmina Helena Pauline Marie Prinses van Oranje-Nassau Koningin der Nederlanden, daughter of Willem III Alexander Paul Frederik Lodewijk Prins van Oranje-Nassau Koning der Nederlanden and Adelheid Emma Wilhelmine Therese Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont, on 7 February 1901. He died on 3 July 1934 at age 58.1
