Sir John Shelley, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Shelley, 1st Bt. was the son of John Shelley and Eleanor Lovell.2 He married Jane Reresby, daughter of Sir Thomas Reresby and Mary Monson.1 He died before 14 November 1644.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Shelley, of Michelgrove [England] on 22 May 1611.1 Circa 1612 he sold his Warwickshire lands and bought others in Sussex.1 He was appointed Knight in 1612.1
