Robert Barton Shaw was born on 2 December 1847.1 He was the son of Charles Shaw and Mary Frances Barton.2 He married Caroline Anna de la Cherois-Crommelin, daughter of S. de la Cherois-Crommelin, in December 1895.1 He died on 10 December 1923 at age 76.1
