     He emigrated to New York, U.S.A., arriving on 1783.¹ He was a physician.¹ He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     James MacIntyre was born on 1 December 1785 at Newburgh, Orange County, New York, U.S.A.¹ He was the son of Donald MacIntyre of Glen Noe and Esther Haines.² He married Ann Campbell, daughter of Peter Campbell of Corries and Duiletter in Glenorchy, on 17 October 1817 at Glenorchy, Argyllshire, Scotland.¹ He died on 9 August 1863 at age 77 at Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, U.S.A.¹
     He emigrated to Scotland arriving on 1808.¹ He was tacksman of Arichastlich in Glenorchy.¹ He emigrated to U.S.A. arriving on 1822.¹
